Pricing for AzureServiceMon is based upon how many resources you have that we are monitoring for you. You select which types of resources you want us to monitor on our Configure page. We then do an inventory to find all of the resources you have that match the types you asked us to monitor. We periodically update our inventory to ensure that as you add or remove resources, we are monitoring everything you asked us to for your Azure subscription.
If you enable metric monitoring for any resource types, you will use up twice as many licensed monitored resources. For example, if you have 10 web sites, you are using 10 monitored resources from your allotment with your AzuresServiceMon license. If you turned on metric monitoring for those web sites, then it would count as 20 resources from your allotment with your AzureServiceMon license. This is because it uses twice as many resources for us to monitor both the availability of a resource as well as the metrics for that resource.
There are three pricing tiers for monitoring your resources, which are as follows:
If you have more resources than are covered by your license, we will still continue to monitor your Azure subscription for you. However, we only monitor up to the amount covered by your license. If we find more resources than are covered by your license, you will receive an email informing you of that. You can then upgrade (or downgrade) your license at any time to cover the set of resources you have.
